The Bastide cottage proudly bears the name of the Bastide Saint-Louis (lower town) as opposed to the medieval city (upper town). The Bastide was created in 1247 by order of the French King Louis IX, better known as Saint-Louis. The city reached its peak during the Renaissance with the construction of a very beautiful private mansions by the the rich cloth merchants of Carcassonne.
This cottage, located on the first floor of the guest house, is composed of a bedroom (double bed) and a living room-kitchen wich give on the interior court with slight plunging on the hundred-year-old tree. The living room is equipped with a sofa bed with slatted base, a TV and a DVD player. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, ceramic hob, an oven and a dishwasher. The private bathroom has a toilet and walk-in-shower.
